Lithology and Thickness

Les Gres de Ouargla Fm is made up of shaley sandstones, and it is the lateral equivalent of the upper Les Gres Fm of the Reggane Basin (see Fig.3 of Perron et al., 2019).

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

It unconformably overlies the Quartzites de Hamra Fm.

Upper contact

It is unconformably overlain by the Les Argiles d’Azzel Tiferouine Fm.
